Matt, the founder of a law firm driven by a unique vision - one that goes beyond legal expertise to build a community centered around care, understanding, and philanthropy. This vision materialized into The Advocates Law Firm, a testament to Matt's commitment to meeting the needs of his clientele in a holistic manner.
Matt embarked on his legal journey by graduating from the University of Utah's Law School in December of 1991. Waste no time, he dove into the realm of personal injury law in January of 1992, establishing a solo practice in Midvale. The success of his practice led him to downtown Salt Lake in 1995. In a pivotal move in 1996, Matt purchased a building that became the headquarters for The Advocates until 2018 when the firm relocated to its present location. This period marked a transformative collaboration, as Matt and a group of partnering attorneys evolved into the powerhouse known as Driggs, Bills & Day, P.C., specializing in personal injury law. Over his collective years with The Advocates, Matt has demonstrated his prowess by compensating clients with over $300 million dollars.
Beyond the legal arena, Matt's life is enriched by his family – a wife and five wonderful children. His passions extend to exploring the world through travel and a dedication to self-betterment. Matt's bucket list is an adventure in itself, with aspirations to visit every continent and witness every Wonder of the World.
