Scott Costantino is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law. He is also Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has received an AV-Preeminent rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and has over 29 year's experience in civil trial practice.
Mr. Costantino has been selected as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers. In selecting its membership the ISOB seeks to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves as outstanding in the field of trial advocacy. The ISOB was formed to recognize the era's best advocates and to support the goals of ethical conduct, protection of the rights of citizens, the independence of the judiciary and the integrity of the Bar. Mr. Costantino serves on the ISOB Board of Governors and is the ISOB National Membership Chair.
He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. ABOTA is an organization that seeks to elevate the standards of integrity, honor, ethics, civility and courtesy in the legal profession. Mr. Costantino was selected as the ABOTA-Jacksonville Chapter's Lawyer of the Year for 2012. He served as the President of the ABOTA-Jacksonville Chapter in 2015. Mr. Costantino is also a member of ABOTA's statewide chapter FLABOTA and serves as its President-Elect as well as on the FLABOTA Board of Directors.
Mr. Costantino has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the publication The Best Lawyers in America. Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer rating service in the legal profession. A listing in Best Lawyers is widely regarded as a significant honor, given to a lawyer by his peers. The Costantino Law Firm, P.A. has also been named a Tier 1 firm in Jacksonville by U.S. News − Best Lawyers® "Best Law Firms" for 2018. Mr. Costantino has also been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers magazine. Super Lawyers choses lawyers for its publication who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. No more than five percent of the lawyers in the State of Florida are selected for recognition by Super Lawyers.
The National Trial Lawyers organization selected Mr. Costantino for inclusion in its list of the top 100 trial lawyers in the State of Florida. The NTL is an invitation-only organization that extends membership to 100 lawyers in each state who exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and profile as civil plaintiff trial lawyers. Mr. Costantino has also been selected by the NTL as one of the Top 25 Medical Malpractice Trial Lawyers in Florida.
The Chester Bedell Inn of Court has designated Mr. Costantino as a Master of the Bench. This designation is reserved for judges, experienced lawyers and law professors. He has also been named a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum where membership is limited to lawyers who have won million dollar verdicts or settlements for their clients. Less than one percent of the lawyers in the United States are members of this forum.
Mr. Costantino represents clients as an attorney in complex personal injury matters, including accidents involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles, as well as premises liability, wrongful death, and professional liability cases. Mr. Costantino received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. He is the managing shareholder of The Costantino Law Firm, P.A. Mr. Costantino and his wife Monica have four children.
